On January 14, 2009 Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden called for a holy war against Israel in which he urged the "Muslim Nation" to defeat the "Zionist entity" and assured Palestinians that Al Qaeda's "…fate is tied to yours in fighting the crusader-Zionist coalition, in fighting until victory or martyrdom", and further stated that "…the duty is to urge people to jihad (holy war) and to enlist the youth into jihad brigades".

Zero’s logic behind closing Gitmo is that it is a rallying point and recruiting tool for the enemy, so get rid of it.

The author points out that the loony muzzies have the same feelings about everything from Israel to Victoria’s Secret, so maybe we should shut them down also.

Logic leaves deep contusions on liberals.

God will never permit this to happen! The Jews are His chosen people.

The Jews are His chosen people.

I guess we Christians should just slit our throats then.
I mean, since we're second-raters and all...

Considering what Israel has accomplished in so little time with their tiny sliver of the Levant, especially when compared to what the rest of the Middle East has accomplished even with it’s oil riches, I would have given the entire region to them. It might then have been a civilized part of the planet, rather than the retrograde greasetrap it is now.

Humble,

What on earth are you saying? What is the purpose of such a remark? Surely you do not dispute that statement? And no, we (Christians) are not 2nd rate to them. But Israel is Gods people, and He has promised them many things. His Grace was extended to us Gentiles through the sacrifice of His Son.

Do you dispute Jesus?

John, 14:6:

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

That statement is very true. And it in no way contradicts the fact that God Himself calls Israel His people. AND that Jesus came for the Jews firstmost.

The last time I checked, Jews did not accept Jesus.

So much for “chosen”.

Of course they didn’t, that is why He was nailed to the tree. And why His Grace was extended further to all nations. And He asked The Father to forgive them, as they knew not what they did.

Read more, God does Not break His promises, regardless of how you feel about who was responsible for killing our Saviour. Jesus died for all of us, Jew or Gentile. And many Jews will come to Christ at the appointed time.

...regardless of how you feel about who was responsible for killing our Saviour.

He GAVE his life, willingly. It was a self-sacrifice, not a murder.

John 10

17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Yes He did. But there seems to be a feeling, if you were to follow the post thread backwards, that humblegunner has issue with Israel being Gods people by promise, and humble felt that Jesus being the Saviour, who was killed by the Jews would negate that promise. That is what this particular micro-thread is about.

I do not dispute your post, but endorse it.

Don't pay her no mind. She can't get through the day without peeing in someone's Cheerios.

The original purpose of the article was not to set off a religious discussion, but to point out the President’s flawed logic in demanding the closure of Gitmo on the grounds of it being a recruiting tool for Al Qaeda.

Did any of you actually read the article, or are you just reacting to the headline?
