I agree, Ed. The subsidy comes in the form of a production tax credit.
Again, I like ethanol.
Corn would be much, much higher with higher farm equip fuel costs and then people would rely on it as a staple when compared to other foods that would lose a farm subsidy, like wheat.
I agree with all of your points.
Even other crops the prices are high enough
so there is no price support now.
3/4 of the farm bill is for food stamps and
most the rest is for greenie nonsense that
raises production costs for farming and
