I have scanned the map of the world and saw the incredible distance from Honolulu to Kenya. First across the ocean to the United States, then across that country to the east coast, thence to Africa and thence across that continent to the East Coast Province. A young vulnerable woman of 18 years had one best friend in her situation. It would have been her good mother- not the feckless, selfish, egoistic, and opportunistic father. I think she would not have gone to Kenya.
Canada could be a possibility. I would hazard the grouping by race, of the father might even be "Arabic". Irrespective of that, there can be no doubt that Glenn Beck and others wax a little hysterical here. Since the "birthers" may be only a marginal group of Conservatives, one could ask, so what? I can only suggest that to Beck and others, the questions about the birth certificate is like a chigger or mite under their skin.
It keeps itching. LOL
Best look at a globe instead of a map. It's shorter to cross the Pacific from East Africa than to cross Africa, the Atlantic, North America and a good chunk of that same Pacific ocean.
Oh if you could go great circle all the way, the distances are not that much different. But whether by air or sea, or some combination, you certainly couldn't do that in 1961, and you still couldn't today, although you could come pretty close.
That said, 18 y/o girls often have poor opinions of their mothers, and way too high of opinions of the wrong men, especially exotic ones, which was what Stanley Ann seems to prefer. Her second husband was Indonesian.
But I am tending more to the Canadian birth model. Sent there by her good mother, and then reneged on giving up BHO Jr., and instead squirreling him and herself away in Seattle until BHO Sr left Hawaii.
