I’d agree with you on Hoeven, but I’d still rather see a young, fire in the belly conservative type representing North Dakota. Tony Clark comes to mind.

“He is Pro-Life and opposes abortion except for cases of rape, incest, or threat to the Mother’s life. He also opposes same-sex marriage. The governor supports decreasing access to parole for offenders and supports second amendment rights. He opposes the Employee Free Choice Act. He believes that public health care should be provided only to the elderly and children, that drug control policy should be a state and not a federal issue, that alternative fuels are a long-term solution but that more oil is required now, and that investment tax credits should be provided for farm investment”

Hardly a “squishy moderate.”

North Dakota is the ONLY state that gained jobs since the “stimulus” was enacted, and only because of fiscally conservative Republicans in the state offices, including the governor.

Let’s hope that Dorgan pulls his head out of his party’s a** and votes FOR North Dakotans’ interest for once. His time of lying to the state’s citizens is thankfully coming to an end. The voters should persuade him to vote AGAINST the abomination of Obamacare.

I just couldn’t possibly stand that cold weather, but we all have different likes of that sort. I’m a refugee from Silver Spring, MD myself (and wouldn’t go back either) but I came to Nashville over 20 years ago.

Pomeroy’s nephew who was on Rush years ago is now a college graduate who sometimes trains local/district Republicans.

Interesting.

I saw this yesterday, made me smile and laugh.

Pulled a Dan Coats, good comparison.

Finally it looks like the rat stranglehold on the ND delegation is about to break.

“Ummm....no. You couldn’t be more wrong. North Dakotans think Minnesotans are either crazy or commies. North Dakotans love the Vikings and the Twins and taking a trip to the Mall of America every once in a while, but that’s it.”

I totally agree..ND isn’t effected by MN one bit! And if “they”(DC) put Ed Schultz in to run against Gov Hoeven..it will be a circus! My favorite person to hate..Schultz. Nothing but a clown like Franken. And he was bankrolled by Soros..so basically anything could happen if they use tactics like “they” used to get Franken in.
I just hope the North Dakotans really are sharp and see what folly is going on.
They have a great radio personality that owns a wonderful conservative radio station in Fargo...WZFG The Flag..Scott Hennen...and he really gets it out to people in ND and all over NW MN. Great guy!

Doubt it, the Farmer’s and Ranchers love their liberal handouts, and ND is huge Ag state.

I've always found it incongruous that farmers, who are the greatest bitchers about people on welfare, are loud proponents for their own welfare receipts.

I grew up in ND and my entire family lives there. I don’t know anyone in ND that doesn’t hate Schultz. He is a first-class POS. I hope they do run him against Hoeven..... it will be a record-breaking landslide election and fantastic to watch.

30 years in the Congress? This is a decision that should have been made 20 years ago. Election to the Congress was never meant to be a career position.

You and Sean Hannity agree...I just heard him say the same thing...like...bring Schultz on! I feel the same...it will be very entertaining! I can’t wait for that loud mouth Schultz to fall flat on his big fat face! Sorry for the rant!
I live in MN not too far from Fargo. ND is probably the only state in the union that is still thriving...if you haven’t been to Fargo lately...you would love seeing the new construction there! We shop there and are amazed everytime we go, to see how many new buildings are going up. They are doing something right!

In related news, Earl Pomeroy says he won’t run for the Senate, but seek another term to the House. Pomeroy may face a rematch with state Public Service Commissioner Kevin Cramer, who had run twice during the 1990’s.

If John Hoeven announces, it’s as good as won.

Say what?

Guess you are not a M*A*S*H* fan ...

Henry Blake told a story about bein' the team manager at the U. of Illinois ...

It was the BIG game and Tank Washington carried the ball to the one-foot line on third down and sprained his ankle ...

Henry goes out and, with the WHOLE crowd watching, expertly tapes up the ankle ...

On fourth and a foot to go - one second left in the game, Tank gets the hand-off, takes one step, and keels over in pain ...

Game ends, Tank does not cross the goal line - seems that Henry taped the wrong ankle ...

Henry said that [after that] on the anniversary of the BIG game, Tank came over to his house and shot out Henry's front porch light [and Tank had since become a judge] ...

What is the moral of this story, you say ???

WE are Tank - and Dorgan is Henry ...

If Washington State has any 100% conservatives from the western part of the state (running someone from Eastern Washington guarantees that we’ll lose) with the experience expected of a U.S. Senate candidate and the ability to win enough moderate votes to win in a liberal state like Washington, I’d gladly support him or her over Congressman Reichert. The truth is that Reichert casts disappointing votes on several issues, as did Jennifer Dunn before him, but the Washington State GOP does not have much of a pipeline of potential Senate candidates right now. If Didier is our nominee against Murray, there’s a 95% chance that America will be stuck with 6 more years of the Moron in Tennis Shoes, whereas if Reichert is our nominee there’s at least a 40% chance that the Senate seat will be filled by someone that votes the right way 70% of the time (and voted against Obamacare).
