Smoking is stupid. It’s a colossal waste of money, makes you stink, and makes your teeth ugly. Then you get addicted, so it’s difficult to stop once you start.
If you don’t smoke and you start smoking knowing all of the above, then you are stupid, and you get what you deserve.
Anyone who started when they were too young and foolish to understand the consequences has my pity. The money spent on cigarettes, if invested wisely, would make you a millionaire when you retire. And you’d likely have a much healthier retirement in which to enjoy your wealth.
It gives you deep wrinkles in your face too - you can tell the heavy smokers even if they quit ten years ago.
Never having smoked before, I decided, quite consciously, at age 52 to enjoy smoking a pipe once or twice a week. No idea why. Not likely to hurt me, and I simply love it. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
I’d tell you to put your sanctimonious attitude where the sun the shine, but probably best to suggest, instead, that you put it in your pipe and smoke it. :)
You really shouldn’t post on topics you know very little about. Smoking isn’t stupid as much as it’s a risk. It’s an activity they enjoy and they roll the dice. You think it’s a waste of money, but I bet there are activities that you engage in that people would think are a waste of money. For the record, I’m only smoke sometimes on the weekends when I’m drinking. I like how it tastes after a few drinks. As weird as this might sound, I also like the smell of cigarette smoke.
LOL, I survived a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2009, 30 days after losing my savings in the stock market crash. Maybe I should have taken up smoking instead of saving for retirement : )
