Any suggestions on how to get Rush, Beck, and the other yappers to report the facts on Obama's eligibility?
I’m not sure why they aren’t pushing this issue. One possible explanation is that Obama has threatened to shut them down, or to shut down the companies that broadcast them, so Fox and Rush’s operator (is it still ClearChannel?) have warned them against it.
Rush did joke about it for a while—What do God and Obama have in common? No birth certificates.
Rush sometimes has held back because he doesn’t want to undermine the Republicans. He tries to persuade them to make sense, but he avoids pushing them too hard. Possibly the Republican leadership has put out a mandate not to discuss this. Why? I don’t know. But they are the stupid party. And maybe Obama has warned them—instead of less pork, they will get NO pork unless they avoid this issue.
In any case, I think the thing is to persuade Beck and Rush that their listeners really want them to raise this issue. But this should be done in a way that doesn’t threaten to wreck their shows. Organized phone calls are anathema to talk show hosts, because they depend on having the sort of calls they want for a particular show get through.
Some people argue that there are other issues that should be concentrated on first, such as healthcare. I think that’s a false idea. The only way to beat healthcare is to tank Obama’s numbers so far that his supporters give up on it. And they are willing to take a big loss on it to get it through, so we need to ensure an even bigger loss. Two of the ways to weaken are Obama are to make fun of him and his arrogant habits and to caste doubt on his legitimacy. Do people really want a Kenyan Muslim Communist running our country? Romantic background, yes, they like that, but not some kind of corrupt illegal alien who lies about his background.
