No details on Drudge - just the headline as “developing”
The system worked!
Bravo Sierra
Up on Drudge. No details yet.
IIRC, the passenger list was sent to U.S. intel and they approved the take-off. Must have figured it out mid-air. Rut-roh! BO has a major “screw up” to answer for, again.

The system worked. Really. |
What happens if my airline did not ask for any of the newly required information?
Secure Flight is being phased-in and each airline will incorporate the necessary changes into its system over the coming months. Passengers should not be concerned if particular airlines don't ask them to provide the additional information right away; it should not impact their travel.
What is the objective of Secure Flight?
The goals of the program are to:
Identify known and suspected terrorists
Prevent individuals on the No Fly List from boarding an aircraft
Subject individuals on the Selectee List to enhanced screening to determine if they are permitted to board an aircraft
Facilitate passenger air travel
Protect individuals’ privacy***

Obama = Epic Fail
In the air, eh? Why do I get the feeling that we’re about to find out that they knew BEFORE it lifted off, but someone either stepped out to lunch first, or one of those great bureaucratic walls was in place again, preventing notification.

“The people in Detroit were prepared to look at him in secondary inspection,” said a senior law enforcement official who requested anonymity because the investigation is ongoing told the Times. “The decision had been made. The ..... database had picked up the State Department concern about this guy, that this guy may have been involved with extremist elements in Yemen....... They could have made a decision on whether to stop him from getting on the plane.”
Isn’t that what the bomber tried to do too, remove himself from the plane mid-flight?
The current law requires the US Dept of Homeland Security receive an Advanced Passenger Information List before the flight takes off.
If this is true and they failed to notify the pilot they are incompetent. And even after the incident, they did not notify other planes in the air. Secrecy is the earmark of this administration. Nobody needs to know anything, except them. I think this should be an impeachable offense.
I won’t believe this until Jesse Ventura confirms it.
They’ll just walk it back until they say they knew about the entire plot all along. Also, that it would fail and that this was really all some “test” to see how passengers would react.
Interesting. They were ready to interrogate him prior to the attempted bombing of a civilian target. They are self constrained from interrogating him after the event took place.
Huh? Way after the fact they try to feed us this story to show us *the system worked*? CYA, IMHO.
Hey, nice breaking story ya got here!
Very interesting. Thanks for posting.
I found the guy who was going to interview him:
