Snow covers Britain from head to toe
As if dusted with icing sugar, this satellite image of Britain shows the full extent of the snow coverage affecting the country.
From head to toe there is barely a patch of land not blanketed by the heaviest snowfall in 50 years.
It was taken at 11.15am on Thursday by the NASA satellite Terra and transmitted to the University of Dundee Satellite Receiving Station.

Hilariously enough, EAU is on the lower right hand side, right under the enormous snow storm.

I think I can see a glacier melting on the bottom lower right.
Aaaack! Horrible weather. I have some email friends that live in Hampshire now and we haven’t heard from them since their Wednesday morning, so I’m guessing they are without power. Another friend lives in Yorkshire and we haven’t heard from him, either. ....The infrastructure across the pond is no better prepared to deal with such weather than we are here in the US. ....Ready for Spring, here!

True. Also looks like Eastern Ireland and perhaps NE Ireland are snow covered.
