Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has signed a multi-year deal with FOX News to serve as a contributor across all FOX News platforms, announced Bill Shine, Executive Vice President of Programming.

In making the announcement, Shine said, "Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup." As a contributor, Palin will provide political commentary and analysis for FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOXNews.com, and FOX News-produced special event political programming for FOX Broadcasting.

In addition, she will host periodic episodes of FNC's "Real American Stories," a series exploring inspirational real-life tales of overcoming adversity throughout the American landscape that will debut in 2010.

Palin added, "I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at FOX News. It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."

So I believe, she also wanted a forum where she could control the topic and hammer a single topic rather than just responding to interviewers. FOX gives her this opportunity, to produce packets like her Facebook posts in video form and see them fan out across the net. This will reach more people and once again be resistant to filtering by the MSM. This is my guess.

I think that's a good guess.

She won’t be censored, period.

If so, and she mentions anything about B.C. sealed records, etc. then FOX will have no station, period!!!

She stays away from the BC and mentions other records, like school records.

Mentioning education records in passing will not make her a kook in the eyes of anybody. Quite a reasonable request, don't you say? She can also attack 0b0zo on policy, which is much more powerful on TV than Facebook.

Yes, damn it! "The cult of the personality." Hero-worship. I say, let Sarah be Sarah. The people who will be our leaders will present themselves; we will find them. The Tea Party has broken ground.

Let's roll!!

From another thread:

Sarah Palin at a White House briefing..Someone posted this on C4P, I couldn’t stop laughing..

STRATEGY ROOM INSIDE WHITE HOUSE UPON HEARING PALIN’S JOINING FOXNEWS

Obama: Has this been confirmed?
Axelrod: Yes Sir. FoxNews just confirmed. It’s all over the internet now.
Gibbs: Please tell me she won’t be ‘subbing’ for Major Garrett when he is on vacation?
Rahm: Shut up Bob. It will be fine.
Obama: I thought our friends were going to talk about the Halperin book this week?
Axelrod: She just pushed that off the screen.
Rahm: Well....get it back on......NOW!
Michelle: Shut up Rahm. Now what Bam? Do you have Plan B?
Obama: Halperin and Heilemann were going to take us into Thursday. When does she start?
Axelrod: Noone knows for certain. I’ll check with Geraldo.
Gibbs: Is he your only contact at Fox?
Axelrod: Well, I sure as hell can’t call Hannity now can I?
Rahm: Easy Dave. Calm down.
Axelrod: You of all people telling me to calm down? Shove it Rahm.
Michelle: Easy boys. Be nice. I want to be proud of my country and this isn’t helping matters once little bit.

Bill Clinton walks in to join meeting: Barack, can you get me a cup of coffee? Black, no sugar. Thanks.

Yeah? I’m actually not bothered by it. Seems like a safe, neutral title if marital status is not known or relevant, though of course if known and preferred, Miss or Mrs. would be in order. (I know the Times will use ‘Dr.’ for PhD recipients if requested, so I imagine they would use either Mrs. or Gov. if she so requested.)

---------------------------------------------------------------

Usage of "Ms." bugs me because it's a liberal, PC, femi-nazi preference. It's news to me that titles must be "requested." I was taught that it was standard that men are "Mr.," unmarried women are "Miss," and married women are "Mrs."

"Ms." was invented by the femi-nazis in the 1970's, eagerly adopted by the liberal MSM and used by them since then.

Of course, the correct title in this instance is "Governor," as it is standard to refer to a former office holder by the title of their most recent office. Of course, the New York Slimes won't give her that courtesy.

I think if you check out other NYTimes political articles you’ll see their style is to use Mr. or Ms., after a one-time use or reference to the current or past title, for all office holders.

And professional equality for women, such as in pay and opportunity, is to me only fair and decent. They used to be wholly and unequally defined (and limited) by marital status.

“First wave” feminism was pretty basic.

Oh, and of course your doubt and suspicion re: the Times are entirely merited—there is almost no bounds to their snarkiness and unfairness re: Gov. Palin.

I wish you were right, but I'm afraid you will be sadly disappointed. Always "Follow the Money"!!

If you think that it is only the BC issue that is inflammatory to them, you will have to think again. She will - unfortunately - be acting like Ann Coulter and the rest of the FOX talking heads, including the Huckster!!!

Obviously, many freepers did not see Lou Dobbs on Bill O'Reilly's show. He did a complete one-eighty on his amnesty stand. O'Reilly was shocked at the turnabout and said so.

I have no idea why he flipped. Maybe Sarah got the gig he wanted....and now he has to court the liberal networks. He DOES have to eat till he announces his run for president of the world.
