If there were a law that required candidates for President to show their birth certificates, then I'm sure all our candidates in the past would have shown them. But, unfortunately there is no legal requirement for a candidate to show his birth certificate.
And hence, that's a good reason for getting that state law going in several states that require any candidate to show their birth certificate or else they cannot be placed on the ballot in that state.
