I hate that NBC has an excellent show, Friday Night Lights, that they have put in ratings purgatory continually, but continue to produce with DirecTV, but instead of giving it a prime spot to let it thrive, they brought in Leno. Bastards.

I liked Conan, but I am probably not as old and as uptight as some others.

I like Conan and I'm old...maybe it's the "uptight" part...or maybe no sense of humor...hmmmm

the tonite show has an older audience (for the most part)

As in "old...stoic...and no longer possessing a sense of humor"..and probably longing for the return of Jack Paar...

Part of what made the conam humor work was that he was on so late and the cheap set in NY.

It doesn't translate to uber budget smaltzy wst coast.

Actually, Conan as the editor of the Harvard LAMOON. At the time the editor of the Crimson was none other than Jeff Zucker, now the head of NBC.

Conan & the Lampoon once swiped the print run of the year
s first Crimson as a prank. Zucker called the Cambridge (not Harvard) police and had Conan & company all arrested
