MA Democrat Attorney General Martha Coakley, her party's supposedly "best" nominee for the Senate, recommended that a convicted child rapist be released with no cash bail despite the plethora of evidence that he raped a 23-month-old girl with a hot, curling iron. This...ahem...misjudgment by the then-DA occurred in 2006, but stemmed from an October 2005 case in which a policeman whose union-representative father steered lots of endorsements and donations to the Coakley for AG campaign raped a 23-month-old toddler, also his own niece! This story ought to be front-and-center in the mainstream, liberal media, but it isn't because it would be too damning for Coakley. MA voters ought to ask themselves, Do we want a woman whose office recommended releasing a convicted child rapist as our senator??

You got that right, and you can go back to 1975, when San Francisco Mayor George Moscone appointed Jim Jones (yeah THAT Jim Jones!) as the Chairman of the local Housing Authority Commission, the next year Jones and Moscone met privately with vice presidential candidate Walter Mondale on his campaign plane days before the general election and Mondale publicly praised Jones 'Peoples Temple'. Later, First Lady Rosalynn Carter also personally met with Jones on multiple occasions, corresponded with him about Cuba, and spoke with him at the grand opening of the San Francisco Democratic Party Headquarters where Jones actually received greater praise and applause than Mrs. Carter.

In September 1976, Willie Brown (yeah THAT Willie Brown, Speaker of the California State Assembly) served as master of ceremonies at a large testimonial dinner for Jones attended by then-Governor Jerry Brown, Lt Governor Mervyn Dymally and others. Jim Jones and the 'Rat Party had a great deal in common, a total disregard for human life and a megalomaniacal lust for raw political power. Jones may be roasting in Hell, but his political party is alive and well and Jones is no doubt cheering 0bama and his 'Rat thugs on from his sizzling seat in the bleachers downstairs, and he's pulling for Coakley too.
