I’ve heard Iowa’s soil is amazing. My brother used to live there and told of the strange valuation of cropland vs developed land because it was so valuable for growing crops.

The technology has allowed great things to happen.
The yields I spoke of last year would not have happened without modern crop genetics.
Corn and soybean varieties from 20 years ago would have not taken the heat last year.
GMO’s have been a huge productivity increase for agriculture.
