House Democrats Back Off Plan to Pass Senate Bill (Don't believe the Rats or MSM, they lie!

House Democratic leaders appear to be backing away from a plan to ask their rank-and-file to approve the Senate version of major health care legislation and send the measure directly to President Obama for his signature.

House leaders gathered at the Capitol late on Tuesday to chart their strategy in the wake of the Republican victory in the Massachusetts special election.

And Representative Chris Van Hollen, a member of the House Democratic leadership who participated in the talks, told Carl Hulse of The New York Times that the health care issue clearly played a role in the election outcome.

“Health care was also part of the debate, and the people of Massachusetts were right to be upset about provisions in the Senate bill like the Nebraska purchase and other special deals,” Mr. Van Hollen said in the interview.

The so-called Nebraska purchase, a k a the Cornhusker Kickback, is a provision that Senate leaders added to the legislation to help secure the vote of Senator Ben Nelson, Democrat of Nebraska. The provision calls for the federal government to pay Nebraska’s entire cost of a proposed expansion of Medicaid, even though other states will eventually share some of the cost of broadening Medicaid eligibility.

Maybe, just maybe, this will cause health care reform to become a truly bipartisan effort and turn into a bill that retains free-market services with smaller adjustments like insurance availability across state lines (not full-scale overhaul) that both parties can support.

There is only ONE House Democratic leader, & everybody knows it. PELOSI.

This means SB’s election has scared even Pelosi! The Wicked Witch of the West just got a bucket of water thrown in her face. An I'll bet Reid can't utter a phrase w/o stammering.

I have a feeling today is gonna be a good day! Ahhhhhhh!!!

Way back in the 1960’s a close fried of our family’s who had lived under Soviet rule and had escaped to America told us, “Never, never, NEVER trust a communist.”

I have not forgotten what he taught us.

These are not “Democrats,” they are communists, pure and simple, whether they realize it or not.

Never, never, NEVER trust them.

(Remember, Shmuckie Schumer said the DNC was going to drop going after guns. Another lie.)

Sounds like the House and Senate Dems are throwing up the White flag. The White House appears to be doubling down, and the mask of Obama’s moderate face is falling off. The posture of the administration is defiance and a Hitler like bunker mentality to not listen to reason. He is mentally ill and really thinks by his charm he can coast to re-election. With a decent opposition candidate and continued moribund economy, he is looking at a Reagan like as* kicking.

Backoff? I think some are in full retreat and are consulting Steven Hawking to see if there is a way to go back in time and remove their name from health care bills.

The Dems are running for cover and blaming everyone else. Don’t listen to the spin! Remember everyone who voted for the monster of a health bill at any time and vote them out! ‘Coakley’ every one of them!!!!

They don't have the votes in the House to pass the Senate version.

It is just that simple.
