450+ comments already on the Levin/Beck thread. Evidently you guys are interested in this. Hopefully Politicos interview will settle the debate about whether Browns kids really were outrageously outraged or not:
I had no idea he was going to do that. I saw the script and there was definitely no mention of that. It was totally off script, Brown said in a phone interview squeezed in between classes at Boston College.
She admitted that she was slightly embarrassed. But thats what gives people a chance to see my real dad.
Conservative talk show host Glenn Beck slammed Browns acceptance speech on his show Wednesday specifically for broadcasting on national television that his two daughters are currently available. Beck appeared to compare Brown to Gary Condit, the former Democratic congressman who some suspected was involved in the disappearance of his mistress and congressional intern Chandra Levy, who was found dead
That is incredible. It just surprises me that people can be so negative, Ayla said. I feel as though all fathers across the nation can relate to having daughters and having these conversations Thats our dad. Theres nothing creepy about it at all.
She says shes staying apolitical but is looking forward to meeting a certain roguish Republican ex-governor. Meanwhile, HuffPo and some of the lefty gossip sites are posting a Facebook pic of her and her sister in bikinis posing with their dad taken at her grandmothers birthday party, according to Ayla Brown so if youve got any information that might even potentially embarrass this kid, I guess youll want to shoot that along to them. Her pops a Republican. Shes got it coming.
Obviously a family with a great sense of humor all around. Achievers not whiners.
oh jeez. I have a 20 and 22 year old daughters and they’re available too! Maybe Brown can announce it at his next press conference as my matchmaking never seems to work! LOL
I think it was kind of cute that Brown said that. Not creepy at all. Beck needs to lighten up.
No he didn't. He made a joke of it in the same vein that Scott Brown did in the first place.
I agree with you, I thought it was incredibly cute and it reminded me of my dad always teasing me (and embarrassing me in front of people). You’d turn bright red, but there was never a doubt that he loved you.
Maybe he's just hoping to marry them off so her husband can pay the bill.
I didn’t think it was bad. He was excited and exhausted, and maybe wandered a bit - who wouldn’t in that situation. They seem like a normal loving family, teasing included.
But if she's an athlete with enough guts to sing on American Idol, she's not afraid of some clowning. She certainly is striking in appearance.
Sarah kind of has to side with Perry at this point, I think...why not? There is a lot about him I don’t like, but I despise KBH...and sorry, I was not impressed with Medina....we need him to win and he has shifted right recently, although I am not fooled by that...but the alternatives are KBH, Bill White, or Medina....I’ll stick w/ Governor Good Hair...
Don’t feel alone. I must be out of the loop too. Palin has a son.....oh yeah, ROGUE...it is getting late!
Well played, sir, well played.
Teach hell, it was a funny moment. Anyone getting up in arms about this are humorless twits.
This is much ado about nothing. He was just caught up in the moment and I thought it was funny. The look on Ayla’s face was priceless!
Exactly. I posted earlier that to most of us ‘available’ as used by Senator Brown meant his daughters were available for courtship, not being tossed out as ‘meat’ as it was being interpreted.
Oh yeah...me too (now!) DUH!
Ayla has a full ride basketball scholarship to Boston College.
Glenn needs to issue an apology for the Condit reference at least. There is absolutely no way joking about his daughters being available translates to what happened there.
It’s up to him but he should.
I do think we need to move forward and not inflate this into a larger discussion. It shouldn’t be allowed to dominate the much larger debate and agenda. Let’s not be distracted by this.
That she wishes to meet Sarah though...that is encouraging. :)
Beck lost me went off on so called “birthers”. Today was the final straw. He apologizes or he can kma.
From the pictures I've seen of the family, the pictures are more likely to be flattering and nothing to be embarrassed about.
They see a father posing with his daughters in bikinis and can't help thinking of sex. Just shows where their minds are.
I see just a proud father standing with his two daughters posing indoors on some kind of beach vacation. Daddy is wearing one of those Hawaiian style shirts that you wear on vacation.
Both daughters surely look a lot better than anything the left / libs / Dems have on their side.

Thanks a lot. The mental image alone will doom thousands of guys to a lifetime of blue pills ...
I think this little brouhaha about “available” daughters is a kind of cultural/psychological “Rorschach Test” -—— I thought it was a perfectly innocent, playful little joke. I’m sure plenty of daughters (or sons) would prefer that their parents never talk in that way in public, but good heavens, it was an innocent jest and not some sleazy “offer” of his daughters.
Those who are leering and seeing something slutty and sinister in the word “available’ uttered by a proud and decent father..... those are the people whose minds exist in some gutter..... and how Glenn Beck could allow himself to stumble into such company I will never understand.
The mention of Gary Condit and “interns” is particularly despicable, Mr. Glenn Beck. I don’t understand the kind of mind that can’t distinguish between a proud, upstanding father who praises his daughters, and the Gary Condit/Bill Clinton sleaze of the Demagogues.
