The man behind a controversial whites-only professional basketball league defended his position Thursday. Don "Moose" Lewis' proposed new league has one major requirement for participation. Players in the league must be Caucasian. Lewis said the league was far from racist.
"It's all white, U.S. citizens [who were born] white," said Lewis.
The Atlanta boxing and wrestling promoter said his All-American Basketball Alliance will have teams in several southern cities and start in June.

The president of the Atlanta chapter of the NAACP said that type of nostalgia is exactly what the country doesn't need.
"We fought so long to be able to get African-Americans in the major sports, now to return to all white play is ridiculous," said Dr. R.L. White.
Hmmmm...., an all white league that isn't racist and a black NCAAP leader named White. This is all too delicious....

All they have to do is argue for racial quotas and affirmative action.
That would ensure the NFL,NBA,etc, have the direct proportion of players according to race.
Meaning of course the NBA and NFL wouldn`t be 80% black anymore :-)
An idea this stupid could only come from an EMOcrat.
It's brilliant political theater.
All other groups (including blacks) have activities and/or contests that include only memmbers of that race, I see no problem with this.

Better idea: Have an open league with a height restriction of 5’11”...
