The next Haitian tragedy is only a few months away. There are 2-3 million without shelter. The rainy/hurricane season starts in June. There is no way that hurricane-worthy shelter can be built to accomodate more than a fraction of these DPs. Haiti got hit four times in 2008. Even one cat 2-5 hurricane will kill thousands more and destroy all the temporary facilities, putting everyone back to square one.
We are paying for some of the wife's family to relocate to the DR.

I was wondering about that—couldn’t remember whether Haiti got the early or the late part of hurricane season. Actually, they probably get both.
There is definitely an urgency to relocate the hundreds of thousands who are homeless.
I hope your wife’s family can get to a safe place. How about here in the U.S.? Any chance of that?
