"Am I incorrect?"

It was probably generated using Mozilla's Thunderbird email app - similar to Microsoft's Outlook. Thunderbird's current version is 2.0x., whereas Firefox is someplace around version 3.5x, FWIW.

Top of my head thinking ... remember Chrysler ?

Remember Chrysler was unconstitutionally given
to Fiat with OUR dollars?

Remember Fiat is an Italian company ?

Wouldn’t be too far a reach to speculate
that we have govt AND UNION officials
working on this ‘adoption’ with the Italian
officials, and therefore traveling to Italy.

Auto show brings current, past Chrysler CEOs together

From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20100112/AUTO04/1120379/Auto-show-brings-current—past-Chrysler-CEOs-together#ixzz0df8PEk8w

Chrysler Group LLC’s mixed pedigree was evident Monday when Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne brought former Chrysler CEO Dieter Zetsche into the heart of the Chrysler exhibit at the Detroit auto show to meet some executives.

Marchionne is also chief executive of Chrysler’s Italian partner Fiat SpA; Zetsche is now CEO of former Chrysler parent, Germany’s Daimler AG.

They made for a visually striking pair. Marchionne was in his trademark rumpled sweater and no tie. Zetsche had shed a suit coat that didn’t fit over the sling on his broken left shoulder. An avid skier, Zetsche was in Austria over the holidays and was hit by a 10-year-old snowboarder.

Civic duty trumps media

The judicial system doesn’t pause just because there is an international auto show in town.

Just ask Dan Knott, head of purchasing at Chrysler Group LLC. He had to cancel his media interviews because he was called to report for jury duty Monday.

In the end, eight able jurors were chosen before they got to him and Knott made it to Cobo Center at the end of the day.

*snip*

A long day for lawmakers

Members of Congress who spent seven hours in Detroit on Monday got bleary-eyed at times during a long day of walking the show. Rep. John Larson, D-Conn., quipped that Sander Levin, D-Royal Oak, was going to buy a new car for his fellow members of Congress.

At the Chrysler exhibit, somebody joked it was time to take their “camp picture” in front of the cars. Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., felt like a “kid in the candy store.” But many lawmakers seemed tired after hours of walking.

Larson talked college basketball with Detroit Mayor Dave Bing. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., talked football with Bing and Larson — noting she roots for the Baltimore Ravens “after the 49ers.” She is originally from Baltimore.

By day’s end, just nine lawmakers had made it to the closing press conference — with about as many legislators and Obama administration officials dropping off after lunch.

Take a sip of ‘bailout blend’

Government leaders took a prominent role on the first day of the show, touring the exhibit floor with top executives and thousands of journalists in tow. The government’s influence was apparent — one local coffee company even served “organic bailout blend” in the media lounge.

If someone wanted to get letters published in various major newspapers and they were claiming to be a resident of each of the cities where these newspapers were printed, why would they not also use a different pseudonym for each city?

You "cotton on" to it.

cotton to, idiom

1. Take a liking to, get along with, as in This dog doesn't cotton to strangers. Although this verbal phrase comes from the noun for the fabric, the semantic connection between these parts of speech is unclear. [Early 1800s]

2. Also, cotton on to. Come to understand, grasp, as in She didn't really cotton on to what I was saying. [Colloquial; early 1900s]

Took me awhile to find this important information.
