Hard to imagine that Washington Times is on the list, a very conservative newspaper. What would be the “or else” with that paper? People have already mentioned how hard it is to get a letter in the newspaper. Why did this letter make it with so many papers, avoiding the normal confirmation procedures and protocols, is a mystery. Maybe some interviews with these paper’s editors are needed to get to the bottom of this story.

The Washington Times certainly has a conservative editorial content. It doesn’t mean that every staffer has the same conservative philosophy. I have a conservative friend who actually works for PBS and keeps his views to himself. Even a conservative staffer can be blackmailed. Perhaps the Washington Times was the outlier, maybe they actually just coincidentally published the letter. There are any number of possibilities for the Washington Times to have published the letter.

I have asked one of the editors of my local paper that same question...twice. I included the FR index for Ellie Light which is up to about 40 separate thread so far...
