Consider the pre-election giveaway to the labor unions. Negotiators agreed to exempt union contracts until 2018 from the tax on so-called Cadillac health-insurance plans.

Why doesn't some journalist question why unions, especially the UAW, have "Cadillac Plans" in the first place. We, the taxpayers are now bailing out the UAW health care program. There is an additional $10 billion donation written into the health care bill for "reinsurance", otherwise known as "paying for early retirees health benefits". Why can't they be on ordinary insurance like the rest of us? Maybe then their coffers wouldn't run dry so fast!
