~ It certainly did!
Though there was an ostensible revival of the Popular Front collaboration between Communists and liberals during the war, it was a temporary and essentially superficial phenomenon.
~It was not!
The party’s patriotism did little to overcome the hostility of its traditional enemies or make it any more popular with the general public. And once World War II ended and the cold war began, the Communist party again came under attack.
~Not enough!

No question, JustPiper about the MO here and how successful it has been. Add to that, Media - including 'Hollywood' - and target of Ayn Rand's as well. (David Horowitz deserves additional recognition for his ongoing efforts to shine a more public light on our shameful Liberal-Educational caste system so as to challenge and change. And do appreciate Andrew Breitbart's efforts to bring film fans to his 'Big Hollywood' site so as to show another side 'manifesting'- so to speak/lol.)
There of course, many, many carrying the 'lamps' so that more will see the light; including a Conservative and alarmed - blogdom. And you, JustPiper, are clearly doing your share of 'sharing the light' as well; as do many of course, right here at FR. ;^)/
