For all the questions circulating in Democratic quarters as President Obama tries to weather the worst storm of his administration, perhaps none is as succinct as this: Are the missteps at the White House rooted in message or substance?

The Republican victory in Massachusetts last week touched off a domino effect of political setbacks for Democrats — most notably the fate of the health care agenda — that has prompted deep introspection in the Oval Office and across the administration.

When Mr. Obama presents his first State of the Union address on Wednesday evening, aides said he would accept responsibility, though not necessarily blame, for failing to deliver swiftly on some of the changes he promised a year ago. But he will not, aides said, accede to criticism that his priorities are out of step with the nation’s.

That oughta sum it up. No need to watch it unless one can find something funny about it.

"My biggest mistake was not hitting George W. Bush harder. After all, I inherited the worst economy in the history of economies in this or any other solar system. No other human or alien could've kept the unemployment rate as low as 10%. You should all love me at least as much as I do..."

More Obama double think. I admitted to mistakes before I realized the mistakes I admitted to were not mistakes. Obama’s ego is a heavier load than Atlas carried.

Yes, Great Philosopher Barry underwent introspection so deep that he charged out the gate screaming "SOAK THE BANKERS!"

Obama is not a “...sorry donkey...”, he’s merely one of the outer edge parts.

Ahh, the qualities that Americans value in a leader: introspection, hindsight, regret, navel-gazing.

“this sorry donkey” What an insult to donkeys! The donkey is a noble beast, patient, hard working, and modest. Barry should aspire to donkeyness.

Theodore Roosevelt, 1912: “The great fundamental issue now before our people can be stated briefly. It is, are the American people fit to govern themselves, to rule themselves, to control themselves? I believe they are. My opponents do not. I believe in the right of the people to rule. I believe that the majority of the plain people of the United States will, day in and day out, make fewer mistakes in governing themselves than any smaller class or body of men, no matter what their training, will make in trying to govern them. I believe, again, that the American people are, as a whole, capable of self-control, and of learning by their mistakes. Our opponents pay lip-loyalty to this doctrine; but they show their real beliefs by the way in which they champion every device to make the nominal rule of the people a sham.”

And the old folks.

The new Demonrat mantra! Woof, woof, let granny eat dog food...spoof on 'let them eat cake'. obama's war on seniors

See the links in post 43-46 and on the last page.

Expanding support for families balancing work with caring for elderly relatives with a $102.5 million Caregiver Initiative adding $52.5 million in funding to Department of Health and Human Services caregiver support programs that provide temporary respite care, counseling, training, and referrals to critical services. The administration says the extra funding will allow nearly 200,000 additional caregivers to be served and 3 million more hours of respite care to be provided. It also adds $50 million to programs that provide transportation help, adult day care, and in-home services, such as aides to help seniors bathe and cook, help which eases the burden for family members and helps seniors stay in their homes.

Yeah, sure Obama, and “what is ‘is’?”

This is one of the only people I know who can flap his gums and say nothing! What an abject failure!

Translation no.2

I’m only partially admitting to missteps because I’m in deep doo.

Absolutely.
The arrogance of the White House and Barry’s mental disorder and glaring stupidity can no longer be prettied up by the fawning media.
No wonder they embargoed all his records.
This guy is dumber than a box of rocks-apology to rocks.
I wonder if he didn’t have someone else take his bar exam.
He’s lazy and dumb and I just can’t imagine this buffoon putting down his basketball and crack pipe to study for anything.
We know without a doubt that he cannot memorize a few sentences.
