A new poll released Thursday from the Public Policy Institute of California shows former Rep. Tom Campbell with the lead in the Senate GOP primary .. In the PPIC poll, Campbell runs strongest against Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer, trailing her by only 4 points, 45 percent to 41 percent, with 14 percent undecided. Fiorina and DeVore both trail Boxer by 8 points.

This is clearly possible win now.
I thought Chuck Devore was the actual conservative, but I’m not in CA...
YES WE CAN! Babalaba we are coming for you!!!!!!!!!
A fellow Indiana Freeper said that according to Rasmussan, Mike Pence leads Bayh 47% - 44% right now... That would be a great move!
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find only things evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelogus
Is Campbell a conservative or a RINO?
Campbell is mostly a fiscal conservative (or at least he used to be). On most other topics, he’s pretty moderate and even left-leaning on some.
Didn’t Pence say he wasn’t going to run?
“YES WE CAN! Babalaba we are coming for you!!!!!!!!!”
They’re coming to get you Barbara...http://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DjVAdvXyI-M0
And you can bet that Freepers will be in the forefront making sure that Boxer does get re-elected and then bitch about it for the next six years.
I know him personally, so please explain.
Although he is a social liberal, he's always been frugal with the public weal. I've never known him to be without integrity.
Yes.
As I recall, Tom has a strong libertarian streak. Conservatives will object to him on social issues (abortion and gay marriage), but will like him on fiscal issues. I like him a lot more than Fiorina. DeVore can't win in California, but Campbell very well might. Campbell is probably the best bet to get rid of Barbara Boxer, so I consider this poll to be qualified good news.
I thought Pence said he wasn’t running?
Apparently Politico is trying the old let’s promote a Lefty to run against a Lefty trick so that whoever wins will be on their side.
We Californians need Chuck DeVore against Boxer, and we need to support him all the way through to the win IMO.
Chuck DeVore is the true Conservative.
Chuck DeVore!! Forget Tom and Carly
AND I WONDER HOW DANA WALSH IS DOING AGAINST NANCY PELOSI??? HAS ANYONE HEARD? PROBLEM WITH DANA IS SHE ONLY BAD MOUTHS PELOSI WITHOUT SAYING WHAT SHE HERSELF STANDS FOR OR WOULD DO. BIG MISTAKE, DANA.
As an imcumbent who can’t get above 45% and 14% are undecided, Boxer has some real problems.
Campbell is a moderate republican who is pro-abortion and voted against Prop 8. He makes those social positions based upon the belief that government should have limited control of peoples personal lives. Supposedly he is a fiscal conservative. Smart guy who taught at Stanford Law School. I live in California and although Campbell isn’t my ideal, I will take anyone who could take out that skank, Boxer. To be within 4 points at this stage is very encouraging.
What good does it do, to replace Barbara Boxer with a male version?
