I think it worked out great. He continued "lecturing" them and made himself look small.

Showing liberals like Bambi in their natural state, as sanctimonius, know-it-all creeps is a good thing. His teleprompter personality was left at the door and he looks like a scolding school marm.

That isn't it, although I'm not convinced the Republicans are smart enough to realize it.

You actually do want to invite him into as many venues as possible to let him open his trap, and make them as public as possible, then counter articulately. If one has the right convictions, the freedom of responsible people from government oppression, then the more he deals with you the more obvious his bigotry and arrogance becomes.

As we have said many many times on FR, the essential ingredient is to understand exactly what conservatism is, and use every means to relay it.

Although again I'm not convinced the Republicans, at least in Party practice, have any allegiance whatsoever to true honesty and conservatism.
