It’s apparent that Mrs. Young loves her husband and she went along with him, but it’s difficult to try to put myself into her shoes to understand how she could endure the crap that she did. You know what I mean?

Didn't she kind of admit in the interview that they felt the end justified the means. She put up with it for the money and power they expected to gain if Edwards became president. I don't think she would have put up with it had they all just been regular joes.
