#1 - In Texas, the Governor’s job is really titular rather than actually powerful.
#2 - We have a decent Lt. Governor and Speaker of the House (who both set the legislative agenda for the State Senate and State House, respectively) to keep her in check.
#3 - It gets her out of the Senate and we can get a decent senator to replace her (can anyone say “Medina”?).
The biggest RINO is a Libertarian running as a Republican and causing a split in the conservative vote. Ron Paul will not run as a Libertarian because he can't get elected and neither will Medina
Your senario helps get rid of both of them in effect. Perry out now and KBH out after one term. That way we get her out of the Senate, Perry out and then her out in of the gov. office in 4 yrs. 10 years is enough as governor and 17 is more than enough as Senator.
