I was in Cook County on business late last year, something like a 10.5% tax rate on my beer and burger. I asked the barmaid why they put up with it, she was stunned at the question, clueless.

Don’t condemn the entire state of Illinois. Blame Cook County (Chicago), the U of Illinois and pockets of paid-off politicians. We need more tea party influence!
