I listened to the last hour and a half of the Jeff Kuhner Show today (from DC), and caught part of his interview with Phil Berg. Nothing new there, except you'd never know that Berg was a 'Rat bigwig at one time.

Jerome Corsi was also interviewed (he was in Italy researching the Shroud of Turin) but had no new bombshells as well.

What was quite dramatic, if not new, was a call in by the former Marine who retold the story (which was here last year on FR) of his meeting of (whom he presumes to have been) young Obama in 1980 in Honolulu and his conversation with him at that time. The critical part was that Obama, when the Marine mentioned that he had been stationed at Mombasa, Kenya, responded with, "Oh, I was born there." Apparently, the now former Marine had a specific memory of that because he searched for photos of Mombasa to give to Obama (as a gesture of friendship) when he returned to his base, but couldn't find any that were available.

Another caller claimed he saw only about a month ago the now famous clip of the 2004 Obama-Keyes Illinois Senate debate where Obama responded to a question about his citizenship by saying something to the effect that natural born citizenship was not required for a senator, only for the POTUS - hinting that he was not a natural born citizen and didn't have to be. The caller stated that the debate clip has since vanished from the Internet.

Meanwhile, Jeff Kuhner, the talk show host (who calls himself "The Last Honest Man in Washington"), ended by saying that "Birthers" should not let themselves be defined as such by their opponents, but rather should refer to themselves as "patriots" or "constitutionalists."

I’d say to Mr. Kuhner not to let Berg define the ‘birthers.’ If he doesn’t believe the paternal conferring of British citizenship at Obama’s birth is not important to the issue, he is not a good spokesman.

This was new to me! (I'm not sure you got the end of the story correct here.)

I would appreciate (a) link(s) to previous FR discussion about this.

Separately I have inquired of someone else I know who was part of the Iran Hostage Rescue mission (which the caller said he was part of) to see what he knows about this.

Illinois Senate Debate Oct 21, 2004 (see video page link)

On this debate tape Obama says he does not have to be a natural born citizen to hold the office of U.S. Senator, only those seeking the office of POTUS must be natural born citizens.

Debate sponsored by:

League of Women Voters Illinois
WLS-TV
Asian American Institute
Urban League Chicago

Candidates for the U.S. Senate from Illinois took part in a debate. The candidates are seeking the position vacated by the planned retirement of Senator Fitzgerald. Mr. Obama is a State Senator and garnered national attention when he gave a keynote address at the Democratic National Convention. Mr. Keyes is a former presidential candidate who replaced Mr. Ryan as the Republican candidate following Mr. Ryan’s withdrawal from the race amid a sexual scandal. The candidates responded to questions on a number of domestic and foreign policy issues.

I don't think it ever existed in original audio form. If such a transcripts exists textually then its more likely someone made it up! I am pretty sure Keyes was asked about this and either said it didn't happen or as know memory of the exchange.
Think about it if such a public record existed, don't you think Keyes would have used it in his court case ? I think its behooves no one who is interested in seeing this issue resolved to wonder off and present speculation as fact. I personally don't know for sure (only the long form would prove it!0 where Zero was born. Likely it was Hawaii but I don't know! My speculation is hi was born in Hawai but his documentation is poor to nonexistent. However he is such a blank slate about other aspects of his life, so little is know and he works so hard to keep it that way. Why? Well I want to know why !
