WASHINGTON, D.C. - A stung U.S. Sen. Scott Brown lashed out at U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy today for insulting his landmark win by calling his candidacy “a joke.”

Brown said Kennedy’s remarks are “mean spirited,” especially coming on the day he was celebrating being sworn into office.

“I was elected and the votes are certified and I’m here to do my job. It’s unfortunate that he would use mean-spirited comments like that at a time when we’re just trying to solve the problems of the Commonwealth,” Brown said today on his first full day on the job.

Camelot is over!

Far as I am concerned there never was a Camelot , just people worshiping the Kennedy's because they had money.

Right, that’s the incident where Teddy got his “No Pants” appellation.

As I recall, the locals in South Florida referred to the incident as “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure”.

Patrick Kennedy is the final chapter of Kennedy public office holders: stupid, drunken, drug-abusing, adulterous, trust babies.

What’s the matter, Star, Scott won’t respond to any of those love letters you sent him so you take it out on his daughters? You know, those letters you sent with those pictures of you in that bikini. Maybe you should have shaved (and I don’t mean your face) before you had those taken. Oh well, guess you’re just not “his type”. Accept it and get on with life.

Agreed. I mean "mean spirited" is so liberal, leftist pansy-arsed pablum-speak. I am actually a bit shocked that it has mainstreamed to that extent back in the USA. We don't need to talk their language. Senator, let's just talk the language most average Americans who don't listen to NPR, understand.

Call Kennedy's words "HOGWASH".

You were saying ...

LOL ...

Hey, I don't have a problem with Scott Brown having two beautiful daughters... I'm helping him out by advertising for him...

I mean, you wouldn't want me to post the following, as "uplifting" would you?

I'll try and remember to especially include this picture for you next time... :-)

Brown needs to man up and get a new spokesperson. "Mean-spirited"? Honestly? If he can't find better words to further diminish the incredible shrinking Kennedy than "mean-spirited", I think I will ask for my donation(s) back...

Scott, if you're reading this, how about "Based on today's poll, it sounds like Rep. Kennedy will finally need to start working for the people of RI, instead of coasting on his uncle's name. Of course he voted for taxpayer-funded healthcare - he's taken advantage of several long taxpayer-funded vacations to deal with his personal issues in public, rather than resigning to allow some one else to do the job he isn't."

Better, since Patches is attacking Brown for his supposed indifference to the labor vote, perhaps Brown can suggest a union picket line around the Capitol to keep big-spending liberals out so they do less damage - just sayin'

Heh. How'd that work out for him?

We shall, as the saying goes, agree to disagree.

Er, from another Free Republic thread today:

“Rep. Patrick Kennedy, D-R.I., appears to be in trouble. If this poll is correct, then Democrats are in much more trouble than anyone realizes...The WPRI-12 poll showed the Rhode Island Democrat with a 56 percent unfavorability rating in his district - a negative that grows to 62 percent statewide.Only 35 percent of voters in Kennedy’s district said they would vote to re-elect him.”

A gentleman’s slacks should be worn so the top reaches the navel, or ever so slightly below the navel, with the rise measured accurately for comfort ‘down there’.

The tailor should know whether you ‘dress left’ or ‘dress right’. That’s equally important for comfort.

Also, the point of a gentleman’s tie should touch the top of his belt when he is standing upright.

But I realize that is expecting far too much of a Kennedy.

Well, Mr. Brown is getting an education in the Democrats up on the hill. We’ll see how many times he’ll vote with them.

Yes, and he’s also the only Kennedy still serving in congress, but he just might lose his US House seat in RI to Republican challenger John J. Loughlin II, who’s being backed by Scott Brown’s top strategists...lol.
