First Lady Michelle Obama is planning an elaborate unveiling on Tuesday of the anti-childhood obesity drive she is leading.
Mrs. Obama's East Wing said she will be "joined by members of the president's cabinet, as well as media, sports, entertainment, and business leaders," plus mayors, member of the medical community and others at the White House event. On Tuesday evening, Mrs. Obama will sit down with CNN's Larry King for an interview about obesity and her first year as first lady. She will take questions from viewers.
"Over the past three decades, childhood obesity rates in America have tripled; nearly one third of children in America are now overweight or obese," the East Wing said in a statement. "The First Lady will announce the elements of the nationwide campaign, which will put us on track to solve the problem of childhood obesity in a generation."
I hope there are snacks.
I can see it now. Ma Belle with Kate Moss, Carissa Flockhart, and the like.
I guess this is what college-campus communists do in their spare time.
So how much is this going to cost the taxpayers?
Good grief, just tell the kids to not eat so much. Sorta like “just say no”.
Besides its really hard to take diet advice from a fat woman.
If she really wants to get a handle on obesity, she might want to back up to a mirror first.

Instead of worrying about foods making us fat, why doesn’t government look into the safety of the foods we eat? Notice that we seem to have a lot more salmonella and other diseases in everything we eat. Government has a Food and Drug Administration and an Agriculture Department for which, like all other government boondoggles, huge amounts of money are being poured into them. Exactly what are they doing for all that money?

Real healthy influence on her daughters...and ours...for a no-nothing publicity seeking idiot like meshell obama to focus on “childhood obesity”.
Pop culture has already tried to convince my 11 yr old daughter and her friends they are “fat” or in danger of becoming fat. Some of the 6th grade girls already skip lunch!!! I do not see how a narcissistic idiot like meshell obama is going to pull this “obesity” theme off without damage.
Far better would be “healthy eating, healthy body, healthy self”

This is none of her business. Unless, she wants to pay for all this garbage with her own money.
