Sometimes dealers can give you a small deal if you buy more than one gun at once. Sometimes. I have a CCW so this wouldn't affect me, I (along with 214,000 other permit holders) can buy all the guns I want at once. The law was pointless and should be repealed.

I can’t remember who the mayor of New York City was when this was passed. He claimed a large number of NYC shootings occurred with handguns purchased in Virginia so the media went into “macaca” mode claiming Virginia was a gun running state. He and Doug Wilder successfully whipped the legislature into a frenzy. There was no alternative media back then to offer other points of view. Maybe it was David Dinkins. Anyway, there are tens of millions of guns in America. This one law will be of little impact to the Brady bunch.
