"Bayh wanted to be free from any office to better be able to run for President in 2012."

That might be what he wants people to think, but he'd be in a stronger position to challenge Obama after having won a re-election in a red state during a bloodbath year for Dems. He may want to challenge Obambi, but he wants to do it without a blemish on his record. He's afraid he's going to get a blemish on his record.

Yeah. Good news is, they still won't have enough votes for a filibuster proof majority, thanks to Scott Brown.

.Bayh doesent have any skeletons as far as I know

Twice I know of Susan threw his clothes out the upstairs window, on to the Governors mansion lawn, there are plenty of skeletons.

I think that would be a great development. At least lift the facade of the “gentle” Democrat who is a Quesling for the likes of Pelosi and Reid. Whom in turn give the Quesling enough cover in the run up to the election to claim they are independent.

Bayh will get some government appointment, ed.g, ambassador, cabinet member, agency head, etc or become a lobbyist. I do find the following interesting.

President-Elect Obama Supports Senator in Recruiting Tony Dungy for Government Work--Tony Dungy hasn't even been unemployed for two full days just yet, but he's already coveted by the government. Evan Bayh, a Senator from Indiana, would like to bring Dungy aboard to promote responsible fatherhood nationwide.

Maybe Tony Dungy is going to run for Bayh's seat.

Susan and the fact that they had adorable twins helped him get elected....He also was fiscally conservative as a Governor....

"FOX news announcing Bayh up 20 pts over challenger Coats (R), but still retiring. Press conference at 2 p.m. today..."

There has to be other things out there on the horizon. No one retires if he's up on his opponent by 20 and has loads of cash to spend. Something is afoot.

I think people on our side need to be concerned about all these drop outs it signals that the libs have another plan maybe centralize power so much in the bureacracy that elected position will have little or no way of reversing BO policies. Something is not right here....

“Something is up here.”

I believe it’s the slow drip becoming a great leak and the damn is about to break on some issues.

All the Dem's are jumping ship like the Rats they are..The best news I could hear now is that Nancy Pelosi and the Fag Barney Franks is leaving..Both of then think they have a safe seat..I wish people would show these two and others they can be replaced..

Have you noticed the ones that are not leaving on their own are dying off, maybe that is what these criminals are afraid of..death..

This is such stunningly bad news, HuffPo has yet to get a single comment on the breaking story. Anti-Palin rumors would have 1000+ posts by now.

Local radio has had a few hit pieces on Dan Coats for being a lobbyist. Then, soon after, some are mentioning that Susan Bayh is sitting on the boards of a couple of huge pharmaceutical companies...making millions of $$$.

Similar situations in some people’s eyes.
