Of course I'm biased, but I certainly see the Democrats focused on power. They want control and they will say anything and do anything to get it. Republicans are hardly perfect, and they do a lot of things that I dislike but I generally don't see them seeking power over all else. Bush and McCain bent over backwards to work with the opposition -- quite the opposite of a selfish focus on power gathering.

Both parties need to improve, but the Democrats are the ones who care for nothing but control.

Yes. It was remarkable to hear one of the Dems congressional leaders to say that success of the surge in Iraq won’t be good for them. Them meaning Dems. At least he was honest.

Dems are quick to point out that Rush and conservatives were calling for Obama’s failure as well. But it does not match on so many levels. Wishing for failure of the internal policies geared to fundamentally changing the country is not the same as a party positioning itself that a military defeat abroad would benefit it. The human and monetary cost of war would’ve been much smaller if our enemies did not see us divided and were not motivated by it.

The Logic of it All

&&&&&

Liberals do not use logic. They base all action on emotion, and one of their major emotions is the craving for power above all else.

VDH is extremely logical and can explain all the reasons behind leftists actions, but it makes no difference in their behavior. It is only useful in helping us know our opponents.

As Ann Coulter said the other day, there are bad Republicans yes, but there are no good Democrats.

Democrats as a group don’t know anything except government power and control. Republicans often have been successful in other areas - medicine, business, etc.
