N2889D is registered to a Joseph A Stack in Lincoln, CA.

But, the only Joseph A Stack that is in the pilot registry has rotorcraft ratings. He has no airplane ratings. But, there's also no address in the public records.

I suspect this is a stolen plane.

The pilot’s remains can’t be in great shape. I wonder how could they ID the pilot so quickly? Dental records, maybe?
