I Love The Message Beck is bringing forth. It is like the man is a heaven sent messenger. If the people ignore him, we deserve to devolve into chaos, revolution and rule by tyrants.

Read of the instances of govt controlling the water, the air, now even our very breath of life.

Will Republicans AS CURRENTLY EMPOWERED do anything to restore our LIBERTY?

I know people will disagree with this next statement, and even call me a doper or worse.....but here goes. When listening to Medved especially, a fascist in conservative clothing if I have ever seen one, or just about any "conservative mouthpiece, they will say that "we can't decriminalize drugs". "It will cause more usage by citizens, and THAT is unacceptable". That is the argument of the tyrant, not the sovereign.

WHO IS ANYONE to tell a FREE man what he can or cannot do to his own body? Laws against sales, and distribution, now you have a place where govt laws have a legitimate place, but to imprison a person because they may cost "society" a dollar is not how freedom can survive.

Whether or not you agree with controlling behavior that harms yourself, by using his argument, you can stretch that to controlling food, gasoline, diesel, tobacco, sugary snacks, the list is really endless. IT IS NONE OF THE GOVTS BUSINESS, what you do with your own body. IT IS ONLY THE GOVTS BUSINESS, when you directly harm ANOTHER.

That just about covers it in my book. Seatbelt and helmet laws....Bovine excrement.... Freedom comes with personal risks, and for Republicans to really change this country, they must embrace the good with the bad behavior as beyond the reach of Big Sis.

The reason I use this example is that Conservatives, even Republicans, could strip liberty loving citizens from the Democrats if they would embrace personal liberty. Let state laws trump Federal where the Constitution requires that, allow people to live free in their personal lives. Cut the crimes in the law to say....10 or so. It is good enough for God, why is it not good enough for the USA? This BS of charging some guy that flew his plane into an IRS office (I know this did not happen, but would have if he lived) with "operating a vehicle in a reckless manner", attempted murder, murder, attempted assault, assault, flying too low, flying too fast, dumping his ashtray in the parking lot, and littering, shows how idiotic the law has become.

The govt charges you with any and all crimes they can think of, use the force of their position to threaten you, have you plea out to a lesser crime (unless you are not PC) then move on.

The law, the budget, the debt and deficit, are not the result of Democrat wasteful spending, but of Republicans refusing to roll back spending when they had the chance. When the children tear the house up with a big party, you get angry but it is kind of expected if the "adults" are away. When the "adults" gain control, and throw an even bigger party, they no longer stand on the high ground. To regain their footing, they must renounce pas sins, turn 180 degrees around, and CUT CUT CUT.

You’re right, Carolyn, Glenn is a Libertarian, but like he told the CPAC audience today, he votes Republican and he likes to vote Republican, so I think he’s really trying to get the GOP back to its conservative roots, but the ‘both parties are the same’ has grown a tiresome for those of us who watch him every day. He still loves the thrid party idea, but the Libertarians are already the third party!~

Interesting you mentioned Graham, because JD pointed out in his speech (I attended) tonight that McCain is currently pretending to be a conservative again so he gave the Cap n Trade torch to Lindsay Graham to carry in the meantime, that he always runs as a conservative and then goes to DC and acts like a liberal... and he is right and it makes sense on why Lindsay has been so vocal on C&T all of a sudden.

I KNOW that we have to take A party into the control of fiscal and Constitutional conservatives. It is the ONLY peaceful way to effect change. If I misrepresented my own views, or said something to make you believe something I don’t believe, I am sorry.

My assumption was it was probably Huntsman Sr., The are good friends and Beck really respects him.

I think you have misinterpreted my comments. The democrats loaded-up the defense bills and bills to fund our troops knowing that President Bush would have to accept the bills in order to keep our troops funded, which added to what Glenn calls “Bush’s spending.”

Glenn was a second tier radio announcer in Tampa FL.

He is a phony as a three dollar bill.

His rants are getting old and more bizarre. His 15 minutes will be up soon.

I began hearing Beck on radio...I recall wondering who he was because I thought he was telling it like it is. I tuned in often when Sept o8 came on us. He made good sense. He was not crazy sounding or theatrical any more than most..in fact serious most of the time.

When he went to Tv the theatrics began..and increased over time...these can be annoying at times and entertaining at others...it is TV. He is a passionate man and though can go to extremes now in his delivery I still see that he is generally spot on...and continues to tell it like he sees it. So I will continue to listen.

Fair enough. I interpreted your comment as President Bush eagerly desired and pined for war. I now see you meant the spending authorization bills to keep the troops funded. Mea culpa.

Oh , the third party candidate drained off votes and got them elected !!!

Great idea Glenn !

Crazy is his gimmick - he's brilliant, and in this case, correct. No, the republicans aren't as bad as the democrats. But yes, they suffer from the same problem. They prefer big, intrusive government to freedom. They (many) are addicted to the power.

"We don't suck as much" is not an acceptable alternative any more.

I agree with what he is saying and I am a Republican. I heard some of Glenn’s sentiments coming out of JD’s mouth tonight. I really hope we can start making change in DC by electing him to the senate... money is coming in slow though, I think people are feeling the ecomomic pinch a McCain is getting the big buck donors in DC.

I don’t think turning over the reins of power to any political party will get us out of this. The only way we are going to get out of this is to end that power. There are several short term and long term things we can and must do to that end.

1: Stop gap, Get enough stop and appose everything politicians into Washington D.C.! Bring that city to compete halt unable to pass anything new period!
Keep the politicians out, do what ever it takes to keep congress unable to make new laws so that we can stop the bleeding.

2: Take firm control of State and local governments and begin active nullification and interposition to STRIP the power forcefully and practically from Washington D.C.

once the power has been striped its corrupting hold on our Federal political leaders will wane. it wont be about buying their election if there is nothing they can of economic value to trade for “donations”.

Instead they are going to have to stand on the merit of what they have done WITHIN their legitimate powers, and in that race the incumbent advantage will not be so huge, as to make most all of them beyond challenge, and thus beyond accountability to WE THE PEOPLE!

The guy is bi polar.

I met him in Tampa back in 1999 and my wife said he was bi polar and we've ignored the guy ever since.
