Rush had the best take on the kitty(former tiger) of anyone. He has zillionaire sponsors he needs to get back. He will now admit to anything to get them back.

After that we shall see just how much "change" he is about.

I wish the brains here on Freep would listen and consider before they start throwing Petreus under the bus...Good grief.

Excellent observation.

You’ve probably already done it, but it is instructive to read the definitions and differences between neo conservatives like William Kristol and paleo conservatives like Buchanan and Paul. When I did it awhile back it seemed both sides make good points but neither seem to be the best solution from what I read.

So far Pence not allow to say much. Van Hollen and Peggy Noonan bloviating, making me sick.

Pence, allowing Republicans to vote on democrat big government bills not bi-partisanship. Cut off...

Lying Van Hollen spewing again.

Is it Newt’s speech posted on FR?

Though I’m no Newt fan, (lost me Scuzzy and global warming), I’d like to read what he said.

Dionne advancing the line that the dems lose if they don’t pass something.

He could not be more wrong.

Noonan using her phony, breathy voice.

Beck's comment about us being a shining example as the strongest force for freedom is dangerously naive. Beck opposed the Iraq war, if I remember correctly.

The jihadists don't care about that. They want us dead unless we convert to Islam. Anyone who thinks "setting an example" is going to do any good is not thinking about the terrorists.

And I am not about to get started on China, who doesn't give two hoots about what we do, as long as they beat us.

EJ Dionne has got to be one of the dumbest liberals I have ever heard which is great for our side. And David Gregory is a horses ass and wouldn’t even let the Minn Gov finish his statements. Palenty was very gracious through the whole thing. And Pence held his own on the panel of vultures. I don’t know who the dip stick Dem Congresscritter was, but he’s a pompous ass too! Oh Van Hollen and he’s a liar too.

Fox Panel on CPAC, Tea Partiers

Juan - comments on applause lines from the speeches. The movement is angry; it’s all anti-obama.

Mara - Straw poll tells very little about 2012. It does say the current movement is more libertarian, now. It is a big energy source for Republs.

Kristol - The Tea Party movement is the best thing that has happened to the Repub. party in a long time. Rubio is a great example of what can happen. Doesn’t make much of Ron Paul pick - lots of CPAC attendees were under 25. The Tea party movement is a mainstream, libertarian movement.

Stephen Hayes and Bill Kristol onthe FNS panel have been excellent in their analysis of the Tea Party movement. Hayes mentions how GOP self-identification has decline as conservative self-identification remained the same. Kristol said that the Tea Party has been the best thing for the GOP in years, gave a good reason why RuPaul won the CPAC straw poll (half the attendance was under 25), and how primary challenges to the GOP establishment are good (Rubio given as the example).

Pence wants to scrap the bill and start over. Van Hollen cuts him off and starts spinning.

Insurance companies blamed for rising premiums when it is government fault.

Damn that bastard loves to hear himself lie.

Pence talking about Tea Party...not anti-government, rather anti-big government.

Are they part of the GOP? Depends on what the Republicans do.

Personal qualities needed in our 2012 presidential candidate:

He/She must be a warrior (per Miss Marple).

He/She must espouse conservative principles of smaller government, lower taxes, etc.

He/She must have star/charismatic appeal.

He/She must be LIKEABLE.

Pawlenty does not have all 4 of these qualities imo.

Juan tried to say the Tea Party would get no traction because they are only anti-Obama and not for anything. Wallace asked him then how did Obama do so well running as anti-Bush, but Juan dodged the point.
