i do have some mormon friends in utah - and i have nothing but respect for them
i did read a book whose author had left the lds church - it had some interesting insights into the marriage ceremony (and i am sure many other things) - but what stands out in my mind was dealing with death - and that a man must lift the veil from his wife if she is to enter heaven - and that she will be perpetually pregnant in heaven - and a few other things i’d rather not say here
i guess for an outsider, some of it seems odd since we were not reared in the lds church - they probably think the same of us
He probably listened every night while being driven home to New Canaan, CT.
Do you really imagine that any national talker does all of his own show-prep research? Just wondering...
As I posted to Resty, I don’t hate Mormons. Several of us got on the thread earlier and I was pinged about the LDS ‘white horse prophecy’, then some questions were asked and I responed with information. More of a separate subtopic.
I don’t like Beck and I am an ex-Mormon who became a Christian (non denom) several years ago and I have strong opinions abou the LDS.
But the reason I do not like beck has nothing to do with the fact he is Mormon.
Resty is inciting fear unecessarily.
I’m sure, but I am also sure that there are some who worship Levin as well. I am not one of them either.
Beck is “self-educated.” Must have bubbled up from within him, like ‘black gold’ up from the ground on the Beverly Hillbillies. LOL!
LOL.
I did.
"Breitbart vs the YouTube videos of Becks shows"
I typed that in verbatim and Google asked me if I meant "Breitbart vs the YouTube videos of Becks shoes"... so obviously not a hot topic on the internets
"trip to the library to get the books of Beck"
Well if that isn't a smoking gun, I don't know what is. Side question: Why are you assigning me homework?
"Also, I can get from Marks show archives to back up what I say what Mark said thats prove Beck said nearly the same soon thereafter."
What a surprise, the rest comes from Mark Levin.
I was Mormon for several years. I have a different understanding about the LDS church than most who have never been LDS.
I still have several friends who are LDS and I love them dearly.
I found out many things including I was lied to by my own church about their history and teachings, that is what started me on my way out.
I became a Christian six months after I left the LDS. There is a world of difference.
Feel free to freepmail me if you have any specific questions.
I get you, and I didn’t mean to attack you or anything. Obviously you have an insight most of us don’t-but isn’t this a pointless distraction? What was that original topic again? What’s next-discussing Jewish rituals because of Mark? That’s really all I’m saying here.
You can lead a horse to water but...
Merciful God, forgive us, we like DEXTER!
LOL.
like I said, it was a sub topic. Happens on these threads.
well...after that season finale...lol.
I am STILL mad about it.
At least I didn’t spoil it for you...LOL.
Do they legally change their name or is that for chapel/temple purposes? And when they are home do they call either by their new names?
- - - - - - -
The names are secret, for men they only give them to the person playing “God” at a certain point in the ceremony.
For women, they give their secret names to their husband at a certain point right before they get married.
No one else knows although the same name is given in every temple on any given day so people who go through the same day have the same ‘new name’.
Tahnk you for posting Marco’s speech...par excellant! If he continues I see a true statesman on the rise.
