Governor Sarah Palin Supported the Bailout?
It has falsely been implied that Governor Sarah Palin supported the Bailout. You may have seen this: “Sarah Palin: Bailout or Great Depression. Choose.”
Yet again, another statement that sounds damning as is. But what did Governor Sarah Palin actually say about it? Let’s see for ourselves.
Couric: “If this [bailout] doesn’t pass, do you think there’s a risk of another Great Depression?”
Governor Sarah Palin: “Unfortunately, that is the road that America may find itself on. Not necessarily this, as it’s been proposed, has to pass or we’re gonna find ourselves in another Great Depression. But there has to be action taken, bipartisan effort . . .” (source)

That doesn’t sound like “The Sky Is Falling!” to me.

Wow! Some solid support for the Bailout there! /Sarcasm Off

Okay. Congress should do something. We never do get the details from the Couric interview of what Governor Palin thinks should be done, but there is no resounding support for the Bailout here. None unless your world is filtered through PDS goggles.
