It was every little girl's dream; she was to get a new dress, jewellery, sweets and a party for all her friends.
What 10-year-old Aisha did not know was that after the wedding party she would have to leave school, move to a village far from her parents' home, cook and clean all day, and have sex with her older husband.

The Religion of Peace! Arabs are savages, still living in the 7th century. Lefties in the West are helping this barbaric culture wage war against us, in the hope that they can drag us down to their level of savagery.
Older men marrying much younger girls has been done in many cultures in the past. Even in Europe, marriages were arranged and the bride promised may have been as young as 13 or 14, but the actual marriage was done a bit later, around 15 or 16 and the husband was supposed to be gentle with the new bride. In the east, marriages were done as early as 10 or 12, but the bride usually stayed with her family until she was into puberty, maybe around 13 or 14.
These practices have died out or have been discouraged in most nations today. Only in Islamic nations run under Sharia law or some African tribe does the practice of child brides continue. It really is incompatible with modern day society.
The comments that follow the article are even more interesting. Looks like the Muslims are a bit conflicted about this.
This is just abominable. Unthinkable.
