"Incredibly, McCobin of SFL told me that his group "is not a conservative organization" and that "We spent this past weekend reaching out to the left and the right at both the Young Democrats of America's convention and the Conservative Political Action Conference. We are not left or right."
If they are not conservative, Sorba asked, "What are they doing at CPAC?"
We knew last year that ACU/David Keene is a con man, for sale to anyone. None of this should surprise us.
For those waving wands in the wrong place, maybe they should not wonder why the witch hunts.
“CONSERVATIVE gays would be focused on issues of personal liberties and privacy,”
The Gay agenda is primarily to force recognition (by any means necessary) of something that the majority of America does not want...marriage, for instance, which has been universally defeated.
The “mainstreaming” of Gays has also broadened to include Transsexuals (who I consider to be the self-mutilated) and “Bi-Sexuals” whatever the hell that is...so, in my opinion, as far as personal liberty goes, true, it is a priority for the GLBT tribe, but only for them, not for society. Their plea that homosexuality is not a preference, but predestination, I think, is proven a red herring by their inclusion of the other two and I really don’t see where it logically ends. I think it ultimately destructive to society.
They would be great to have on my side if I were a Libertarian or an Anarchist, but not for me, as I consider myself a very traditional Conservative. Just my opinion.
See post 33. Agree it would make an ideal postion statement?
“Zactly.
The older I get, the more it seems that it all, everything, comes down to that.
I’m not scared. I relish the challenge. But thanks for the words of encouragement.
“promotion of their lifestyle in any form, from special rights and legal recognition of gay marriage to inclusion in school curiculum and sex education is the LIBERAL agenda and must be immediately denounced and expelled.”
Hello? Two of the foundational planks of GOPride are to legalize male/male sodomite penetration as a ‘marriage’ and to protect open homosexual lifestyles in our military. I would not call those either mainstream or Conservative issues. They are straight up about liberal social engineering.
Witchhunts are always suicide missions, whatever the reason.
It’s not a part of any strategy. I think I was fair and respectful to you previously but if you want to continue with that accusation, I’ll refrain from responding to you anymore.
There are people who don’t agree with you on this board. hell, if I’m not mistaken there is a monarchist on the board (very socially conservative) and there are libertarians.
You want to disagree, fine, but don’t turn this into a fruitless Rivera-like investigation into a conspiracy that doesn’t exist. Keep in mind, when those idiot Mobys out there disrupted conservative sites, they did so by being vile and hateful in order to make FR and other sites look bad, not by being a civil person who disagrees with a large number of posters.
You can go through my posting history. On the non-social threads, you can find what you need to find but none of it will confirm any of this bizarre fixation on some ‘grand conspiracy’ to normalize homosexuality.
It’s my opinion, debate it or move on. It’s not as if several of those with sympathy for your views haven’t jumped on me as it is.
It’s the original post that wants to cry about how HotAIr is ‘gay-friendly’ or some such, not any agenda on my part.

It’s unfortunate that many here do not support the idea of personal freedom. It’s a basic tenet of Reagan conservatism which defines my approach. I wish we could get more here to follow in the Reagan mold.
I’m not refering to GOPride. In fact I am explicitly contradicting that position based on principles that define conservatism.
I doubt Reagan would be a fan of the gay groups.

You aren’t old enough to remember “getting clean for Gene” are you? I am not suggesting this is the present case, but please let’s not pretend this isn’t possible.
And the pro choicers?, the Polygamists? the illegals? Are they all part of our "let it all hang out" style of liberated conservatism and newer, non traditional, traditional Americanism?
Could be worse: For example, there could be an article entitled “Conservatives infiltrate gay movement” :-)
It is understandable. Some confuse compulsion of their personal religious views with social conservatism, when that is exactly a threat to those religious views by others holding different religious views.
