The only one trying to destroy competition around here is Bambi himself.

Toyota buys its parts from companies that make them expressly for it (and in fact, one of its problems lately may have been that a few years ago it started to outsource them to other companies). This might be considered a vertical monopoly, although it has no effect on the competitors of the company itself.

The purpose of Obama is to destroy business and make sure the government is the only monopoly in town.

The FBI didn’t raid anyone when Corvairs were rolling over.

The FBI didn’t raid GM (now Government Motors) when they perpetrated
a fraud on their customers with the “You only need to change Dexcool
coolant after 150,000 miles!!!”.

They left out that the lower manifold gasket started failing in
the Dexcool-ed engines at anywhere from 40K on up. WELL BELOW 150K miles.

And then had the classless b-lls to tell GM owners that “You really
need to have that lower manifold gasket replaced for $1,000”,
but didn’t tell you that GM engineers/management SCREWED THE POOCH.

When my dear old mother was hit with this sock to the gut, I investigated
and found out this was well-known and the subject of a class-action
suit in (of all places) Canada.

After we passed a few articles from the internet about GM’s
MENDACITY (that a near-curse word for “LIAR” amongst Southerners
here in the USA), the nice lady that demanded $1000 backed down to $700.

In retrospect, I should have told Ma to park her car on the Chevy dealers
lot with a “Free car that will melt down after the “good for 150,000 miles”
Dexcool in the radiator fries a manifold gasket and the motor melts”.

Well, my mom is just an average patriotic American that survived
WWII and all that followed up till now.
Where was the FBI when she needed them to investigates the liars,
cheaters and THIEVES that are GM?

As the stock markets can tell you, there's no profit in business anymore. Sure, they can keep the doors open, but margins are slim, and labor is going to start getting far cheaper as the unemployed make their presence felt.

With no profits there are no taxes, and without serious government subsidies, GM is going to go down again!

Hopefully no Muslims were involved or there will be hell to pay!

Did CAIR give the FBI authorization for the raid?

OR is this a strrictly a JBT raid on Osama’s enemies ( i.e. America’s friends )?

this is going to backfire on GM as most I know are now saying they were looking at either a ford, chevy or toyota and now they are saying toyota is the one for them.

I know I will be now buying a toyota avalon and not anything to do with GM, screw them and their union goons

Yet again GM shows they hate comp

As it turns out I am over weight.........Incidentally I am waaaayyyy more far right of you most likely. I despise Big government, I believe in God and won’t vote “dem” out of principle and morality if nothing else.

I also have seen the crap Toyota has dished for years and they are right where they belong. Don’t kid yourself into thinking they weren’t government protected at a time. You don’t get that big here in the USA without. You know it, I know it and your rhetoric here today proves it. Nothing happens without government clearance unfortunately.

Fortunately the Hammer finally came down on Toyota. For the record I’m well liked for my honesty, integrity and insight. I’m also not often considered an ass anymore, though I genuinely acknowledge I can be. So does my wife incidentally……LOL

If you are worried you can always install an ignition power cut-off switch. That’s just a hidden, but convenient switch to the driver that turns off power to the ignition.

Here’s an example. http://www.kitcarmag.com/howto/cutoff_switch_install/index.html

This isn’t made up stuff here fellas. Toyota is reaping what they sowed no matter what conspiracy you want to prop up

I do not revel in their mess, I know people in the culture who need their jobs as well. but as the guys from Inland Fisher Guide told me what was under the dash and in the doors was not as robust as what they designed for GM. And their is the story I heard of hollowing out the little plastic interior panel fastener to save money, when is enough enough.

But as in a discussion with my auto gnome today this thing has even uglier legs..

From my gnome, a guy in (Jersey?) a year or two ago charged and sentenced on vehicular homicide in his Toyota and the jury thought he was smoking crack because his defense was the car accelerated on it's own. What and where does this go?

drop charges against black racists outside a polling booth
postpone charges against the mastermind of the USS Cole
stop raiding for immigrants
stop raiding ACORN
stop interrogating terrorists

but raid toyota and call for the owner to go infront of congress, I mean there is nothing else to do is there.

Meanwhile in other news Chrysler is doing a recall over a 300,000 vans.
what nothing

I’m getting all kinds of Toyota and GM business. Honestly this has been great for Ford. No one wants to buy a “gov” owned enterprise and now they don’t want Toyota’s I couldn’t have scripted it better. I have traded for a 2009 camary Hybrid, a 2008 camary & a 2005 Avalon recently.

You couldn't give me today's GM product. I would be embarrassed to even drive a GM product. Union made, I don't buy, call me an Anti-Union American.

I am, however, having a 1948 chevy truck being restored as an investment--for immediate sale when complete. It has steadily gone up in value unlike the GM vehicles of just yesterday and today. Investment continued:

Investors of Stock in Toyota are still in the $70 dollar range. GM is below a $1. That's how investors and the street pairs the two financially. In good faith to perform.

Remember the over a million (1.5) recalls of GM vehicles last year? for ENGINE FIRES????..over years.

This is all self-serving megalomaniacal theater. This is all about the unions and the closing of the California plant. Payback time through the union's mouthpiece-the government placed themselves in a conflict of interest scenario.

Toyota will say what the Committee wants them to say. They will forgo the tears they have used in the past. I loved how the female employee in the US Toyota plant spoke out today on the Toyota workers!! Toyota could not say it, but she stood firm.

I don't own a Toyota.

The fraud science Gore and our government has brought down on taxpayers on continued climate/carbon scam scare tactics, continue to cost consumers, automakers & all industry dearly. Get out of jail free.
