Search warrants were served Tuesday evening at Yazaki North America, DENSO International and Tokai Rika. Yazaki sells electronic components and DENSO makes accelerator pedals.

Denso has released the following statement about the situation "DENSO International America, Inc. (DIAM), U.S. subsidiary of DENSO Corporation, was inspected on February 23, 2010 by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice in regard to U.S. antitrust laws. DIAM is cooperating with this investigation."

The FBI didn’t raid anyone when Corvairs were rolling over.

The government wasn't filled with fascist socialists like it is now.

Did the FBI ever raid the Big 3 or the suppliers when their products were dangerous? I never heard of Ford being raided when Explorers were blowing tires or rolling over?

Is the FBI going to go around to all the dealerships and break the windows?

I’m wondering if soon we’ll hear of a “settlement” wherein Toyota will immediately hire only union workers.

Hard to say, its likely that these are union shops that produce parts for other manufacturers as well.

Is this the normal function of the FBI?

The easiest way to excel is to eliminate the competition.

Welcome to GM. (Government Motors)

When the government owns GM, this is to be expected.

How absurd would the following headlines be?

“Owners of Toyota raid rival Ford”

“Owners of Exxon raid offices of British Petroleum”

But when the owners of GM do it, it is “legal”?

The jack-booted union thugs ordered this and the Obama administation eagerly complied.

Wow. This is getting interesting...

I was too young to remember the details concerning the gas tank explosions regarding some US company trucks — Chevy? I do think the automaker was hauled in front of congress to explain the design flaw. How does that case compare to what’s happening here?

This might be a Chicago Thug way of telling Japan — not just Toyota — to BUY our toxic debt.

Maybe Zero made a deal with Sutpak of MI and other so-called pro-life Democrats from the Midwest. Vote for ZeroCare and we will take down Toyota.

“I was shopping this weekend- many dealers said that new customers were telling them they refuse to buy a government car.”

When I dumped my Chrysler for a Ford, I told both dealers I would never own a car built by a company even partially owned by the government.

During the depression, Roosevelt’s goons tried to put Andrew Mellon in jail too. Same ol’ same ol. Fascism never changes.

Wow. History repeating itself...

Now I’m wondering how Japan’s government will react. They can’t be comfortable with the US government getting involved, especially when Toyoda himself is answering to congress...I wonder what their feelings are about this?
