Republican primaries are approaching rapidly and we conservatives had better get it right this time, if we are to have a ghost of a chance at beating back the O-genda of the One. And, riding a tide of Tea Party, small-government momentum are a slew of candidates, from Marco Rubio in Florida to Jimmy Lakey in Colorado, who are challenging their more moderate fellow party members. The very future of the GOP is at stake, so it is crucial to understand who and/or what the old guard really represents. And how we should refer to them. While all of our conservative pundit heroes have contributed abundantly to the cause, let's face it: the current shooting star is Glenn Beck, and we should be damn glad to have him. His multi-media attack reaches and influences millions. And, he's got people reading in droves, not the Oprah List, either. They're reading about history, the Constitution, philosophy, political science, global warming, economics, survival, Christmas sweaters. Best of all, he's got folks excited. Motivated. As in, off-the-couch motivated. As in, taking-time-out-of-our-busy-lives-to-protest-on-street-corners motivated. Would there even be a Tea Party movement without Glenn? Maybe, but probably not. We'd have heard about Rick Santelli's rant on CNBC and said "Yeah! You tell 'em, Rick", and that would have been the end of it. We've felt frustrated with Washington for years and pretty much done nothing but vote. And then Beck brought us all together with that first "9-12" Meet-Up; gave us focus. Woke us up. But. And, you knew there was a"but" coming. Glenn sees American politics now as divided between "Pro- gressives" and "Non-Progressives". He and Jonah Goldberg have done an invaluable service to the nation by calling attention to the Progressive movement(in both its old & new incarnations) because it is the dangerous driving force of the left, and so, the Democratic party. Which is where it resides, almost without exception (TR, Hoover & Nixon come to mind). If Progressivism means anything, it is statism, totalitarianism, creeping Fabian socialism. Science over God. The collective over the individual. Can anyone seriously attribute any of those characteristics to John McCain? Lindsey Graham? Hatch? Huckabee? Hutchinson? Not really. Are they gullible? Oh, yeah. Eager to reach across the aisle? That, too. Do they want to do away with the old USA and fold it into the UN? Probably not. Then, what are they doing? Why do we keep getting screwed? While they all have individual differences, I believe a common thread is that the McCainanites think they're "governing". Doing something. Crafting bipartisan legislation & breaking gridlock, like the media-driven polls are always insisting the American public demands. The moderate Republicans think they're giving the people what they want, just not to the bloated extent that Democrats do. Which is why they must be voted out of office or never allowed in in the first place. Because, despite the fact that they're not really Progressives and despite their noble intentions, their inclination toward compromise dovetails perfectly with the ignoble intentions of the real Progressives on the left. It's the old Hegelian dialect; the compromise always goes in direction: left. GOP moderates are perfect targets for sovereign-stealing international treaties; for campaign finance reform; for cap & trade. They become unwitting accomplices to the steady but sure dismantling of their own nation. So,let's defeat them in the primaries- not because they're Progressives, but because they're Compromisers. Right now, the GOP needs Principled Partisans.
Ugh...my eyes...
Paragraphs, please.

That's a little bit more than merely "confused" about priorities.
