AZ-Sen. 2010: Arizona Chamber endorses McCain’s Senate re-election bid (BARF ALERT)

The Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry is backing U.S. Sen. John McCain’s re-election bid.

McCain’s campaign announced the endorsement Friday.

The senior senator is seeking his fifth term. He faces a Republican primary challenge from former Scottsdale congressman and radio talk show host J.D. Hayworth.

“Throughout his congressional career, Sen. McCain has been a consistent champion for our state and country’s entrepreneurial spirit and for policies that encourage job creation and free enterprise,” Arizona Chamber President and CEO Glenn Hamer said in a prepared statement. “In this past year alone, Sen. McCain has stood strong against job killing legislation like card check and has injected the debate over health care with much-needed real world perspective. The Arizona Chamber is proud to make this much-deserved endorsement.”

State chamber members include Phoenix-based beer distributor Hensley & Co. McCain’s wife, Cindy Hensley McCain, is the company’s chairwoman, and Hensley Vice President Doug Yonko is a vice chairman of the chamber.

I wasn't aware that the bailout was compatible with being an entrepreneur or promoting free enterprise.

Oh wait, McCain's druggie trophy wife is one of your members.

Now your endorsement makes sense.

The Chamber has been a consistent supporter of amnesty, and many of its members like the lower cost, illegal alien labor.

AMNESTY for cheap labor. Nothing more, or less.

************McCain blasted in online poll**********

Just a handful of WND readers favor him over GOP challenger
Posted: February 26, 2010

If WND readers were to have their way, Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain’s 28-year career in Congress would come to an end this year.

An unscientific WND online poll showed GOP primary challenger J.D. Hayworth with nearly 3,000 votes compared to just 22 for McCain.

As a talk-radio host, Hayworth criticized McCain for voting for the 2006 bill to give illegal immigrants a path to citizenship.

“It is about time you represent we the people of the United States of America and your Arizona constituents, instead of illegal invaders and criminal trespassers,” Hayworth said, according to National Public Radio.

Hayworth has characterized his campaign as “McCain and the Washington establishment on one side, and ‘we the people’ on the other.”A recent Tax Day Tea Party poll indicated an overwhelming majority in the tea-party movement support Hayworth over McCain.

Hayworth received support from 79 percent of respondents, or 2,738 votes. An additional 8 percent said they would rather support someone else against McCain, and 3 percent said they would rather stick with a third-party candidate. A mere 9 percent said McCain “should be left alone.”

“Much to our surprise, there appears to be an overwhelming amount of support for Hayworth within the movement,” writes Eric Odom. “A lot of activists are looking to oppose John McCain in some way, shape or form.” [snip]

It’s a natural fit for Juan. The Chamber of Commerce is and always has been a sleazy business cabal for continuing their cheap labor mill by pushing shamnesty. The dire consequences on America be damned.
