Luckily the reports are pretty wimpy so far at this point....only 8 feet fairly close to the epicenter.

This will not come close to the infamous Hilo tsunami and will barely even register as bad at all.

That said, anybody on the beach to maybe 100 feet could be swept away, so nobody should be on the beach.

If you look at the 2004 tsunami, most of the deaths were within a 100 yards or so of the beaches, and within shallow harbors.
