Opening my checkbook for Chile relief. Unlike Haiti, I feel confident it will actually be put to good use.
You’ve got to admire the Chilean government and the people. They were as prepared for this as possible, they built structures designed to survive the quake, and they are thanking countries for their offers, but they’ve got it handled thank you very much.
I hope they are in fact handling it as well as they indicate and that they would accept assistance if they needed it. I hope our nation would do the same.
