We have owned GM vehicles exclusively for almost 15 years. For the most part they have been reliable. We bought a used Lexus back in July. So far, it has been great. Normally, I would have balked at the idea of buying “foreign” before the bailouts and the Gov’t takeover, but I do not feel any allegiance toward GM anymore. I feel many across the nation are in the same boat as I am.

Personally, I have thought for a few years now that GM should get out of the car business and focus and build SUV’s and trucks only. Those are fine vehicles and actually turn a profit on sales.

And one acronym that stops this good advice:
CAFE. Corporate AVERAGE Fuel Economy.

If they took your advice and didn't build any high mileage cars, they couldn't meet these standards.
