Rather than leaving your cleanup work for any of the volunteer Moderators as you did in this thread, instead simply copy and paste the published title and do not alter any published title or make up your own title.

However, if you would prefer that we pull this thread that would be much simpler. We will be more than happy to pull this and any of your future threads if you find that copying and pasting published titles is too difficult.

Thanks.

I was not sure how stringent the policies regarding titles were, particularly for excerpted articles as I've noticed freepers being liberal with some headlines in the past and adding taglines like "Barf Alert" (which I've never done.) I was simply telling OldDeckHand that if there is a problem, I'll heed the instructions of the moderator and someone ended up adjusting the title after all and it is perfect!

The other thread you've chosen to headline the front page news of this forum is only feeding the rumor mill the mainstream media creates in its efforts to undermine a patriot like Governor Palin into the unthreatening reality show caricature of their hopes and dreams. It is a misleading title that will perpetuate lies and further degrade the image and credibility of the conservative movement as a whole. Sure, it's people's responsibility to get the details--but there's no denying that snippit headlines like "Palin Shops Reality Show" has a subconscious impact in affecting our idea of who she is and take away from the credibility she's garnered as a strong voice for our beliefs, with substantive ideas about the issues affecting our day.

Plus I am sure many surfers of this site who depend on it for news and only have time to read the headlines, and it's not like the other thread's content really clarifies things either.
