For those not familiar with the Pentagon, it has an undeground Metrorail station that used to feed passengers directly from the station platform to an underground entrance to the Pentagon.

That entrance was walled off years ago and Metro passengers must exit the station above ground and use one of the other building entrances.

The Pentagon Metro station is served by the Blue and Yellow lines.

I always wondered when the underground entrance was sealed up. Years before 9/11, I think.

Even though there is a battalion of well-armed, well-trained Pentagon guards nearby, they’re all up topside at the entrance, none are down in the Metro.

My nephew works there. My brother in law was there during the 9/11 attacks and my father worked there. I am curious to find out more about the shooter

The upstairs of the Pentagon Metro is also a major bus hub.
