"They'll have to walk across my dead body if they want my vote on this issue," Boren told Fox News on Wednesday. "This is so galvanizing in my district. I think the votes are not there and I don't see where we get them."

It's not just abortion. This is the entire quote:

"They can break my arms. They can do whatever they want to. They'll never get my vote---ever. They'll have to walk across my dead body if they want my vote on this issue."

Wonder what lind of "persuasion" Pelosi is planning?

That's today. Tommorow:

"What's that Nancy? You're going to allow tax write offs for gambling losses in Oklahoman Indian Casinos? You're going to call it the "Boren Break?"

"And over there, a shiny new Benz? Full of bimbos?"

"Well, now, my arm might be sprained but I havn't lost my brain! Obamacare, here we come!!!"

“”I haven’t seen the president’s proposal so I’m going to look at it,” said first-term Rep. Scott Murphy, D-N.Y”
Read a bill before you vote on it? Who’d a thunk it?

It will be harder to switch a NO vote (one the house bill) to a YES vote (on the senate bill) than to vote YES on both, because those congresscrooks who already voted YES know they will be hurt at the polls, no matter how they vote on the senate bill.

”I haven’t seen the president’s proposal so I’m going to look at it,”

Maybe he means that he will look at "the president's proposal" after it takes the form of an actual bill. Today it is pure speculation, but unfortunately even some FReepers seem to think it is part of the senate bill.

Slaughtering babies on taxpayer dimes isn’t enough of a reason for rats to not enslave us under socialist tyranny. We need to increase the pressure on them.

Yeah......sad, but all too true, all too often. It seems that commitment, character are in short supply in Congress.

Democrats/Marxists will use this nuclear option to ram government socialist healthcare down the American people's throat against the American people's will.

If one of these commies/democrats politicians in the House throws a temper tantrum another one will magically change his vote to give Nancy pelosi and Obama the votes these communists/Democrats need to pass government healthcare and destroy the United States.

Hey liberals and liberal mainstream media why are you for more government ? don't we have enough government.Don't you get it government/socialism doesn't work. Haven't you notice that no local, state, or federal government makes products like computers, cell phones, cars, pencils, cereal, etc? That's because government cannot create any products at all or even efficiently while only FOR PROFIT PRIVATE companies can create products and private for profit companies do create products that have value , that people need and they do it efficiently and with ever increasing productivity.

To create even a simple product like a pencil you need logging companies to get the wood, and then electric saw companies for tools for loggers, and rubber companies for the eraser, graphite mining companies and all the companies that in turn make all the technical equipment for those mining and logging and rubber companies and those that make the buildings and machines for those and so on. But no one planned this as the free market works from the ground up but democrats/marxists/liberals want us to think some liberal idiot at some government agency can plan an industry or economy and conceive that there is a product as a pencil needed and then conceive of that furthermore there are logging companies needed for the pencil and so on.Furthermore all this complex plan changes instantly in real time as every owner of every company is constantly changing and solving problems and government takes months of red tape to even approve of a single change.

So this is just a the tip of the iceberg why government/socialism can never work, must be kept out of the economy and all areas that it can be kept out of like a cancerous tumor must be kept out of a brain, a lung ,the human body.

But I guess liberals/democrats and the stupid liberal mainstream media are too stupid to realize government/socialism doesn't work and are always looking for government solutions to every perceived or manufactured problem such as healthcare as if the thousands of government agencies now crippling the U.S. economy weren't enough.

Amazing that there were 40 so-called pro-life Democrats during the first bill and now there are only 12. What happened to the other 28?

Very true. I wish I could help, but my congressional rep is a solid NO vote, so I have reason to hound him.

He did not vote the last time when the House bill passed, though. He was still in rehab for alcoholism. He is Congressman John Sullivan, who I'm hoping (because he's an alcoholic) will have a conservative challenger in the Republican primary this year. (But I doubt it.) He is more conservative today than he was when he first came into office, but he's not all the way there yet.

For the first few years, I kept calling his office and writing to him because he was voting the wrong way on issues of sovereignty and immigration, and a couple of other issues, but he's mostly swung to the correct position on most issues now.

He's definitely on the correct side of the health care issue. Maybe he's been talking with one of the best senators in the U. S. Senate, Dr. Sen. Coburn. Or the most conservative senator, Sen. Inhofe. (As you can see, I'm living in one of the most conservatively represented places in the nation. Praise God.)

Cr*p, I hate when I have a typo and leave out a critically important word. Instead of:

“I wish I could help, but my congressional rep is a solid NO vote, so I have reason to hound him,”

I meant to type:

“I wish I could help, but my congressional rep is a solid NO vote, so I have NO reason to hound him.”

NO reason to hound him.

I smell a set-up. There will be much hand-wringing and wailing, and then Pelosi will throw these dissenters a bone and they will announce that they are satisfied. They have "won"! Wheee....! Now, finally, the bill is acceptable. (/Wipe brow) It's all about diversion, and "bait and switch".

If they, somehow, get a change in the language to exclude abortion, won’’t they have another group who would turn into ‘no’?

If they succeed in killing the economy, they will have killed the golden goose, but even then, they will try to blame someone else.

I think the answer is in your first sentence:

...40 so-called pro-life Democrats...

I know the Democrat are in big trouble when Maddow had to do a hit piece on Stupak last night on C Street. The Democrats are panicking right now and know that Stupak’s group is the fly in the ointment on this one.

I know Bart Stupak is a Democrat but he is pro-life so continue to pray that he will stay firm in his decision and that he will be protected from the Dem Dirt Machine.

I really don’t think there will be a bait and switch on this one because the Democrats are now eating their own. There was a hit piece on Bart Stupak on Maddow’s MSNBC show last night. They are cranking up the pressure on their own. THE DEMS ARE IN BIG TROUBLE.
